Every weekday, the CNBC Investing Club with Jim Cramer holds a “Morning Meeting” livestream at 10:20 a.m. ET. Here’s a recap of Tuesday’s key moments. 1. Stocks fell Tuesday , pressured by the recent rise in Treasury yields amid concerns of persistent inflation and elevated oil prices. The 30-year Treasury yield climbed above 5.33%, a level not seen in nearly two decades, while West Texas Intermediate crude rose above $85 a barrel as U.S.-Iran negotiations remained stalled. Bond yields came off those highs and dipped slightly into the red in late-morning trading. But that move did little to help the S & P 500 , and especially the Nasdaq , pare their steep losses on the session. That’s why the Club is holding roughly 13% cash and remaining selective about putting money to work. “That 13% means we believe the market is going down,” Jim Cramer said. “We are not going to put money to work just because we’re going to be oversold. We’re looking for actual price breaks.” Club name Home Depot was one bright spot after reporting better-than-expected earnings and revenue Tuesday morning. Jim called the quarter “terrific” and said the results were especially encouraging given the difficult housing market. “If they can do this number in this environment, what do they do if we have a better environment?” he said. 2. Club holding TJX Companies reports earnings Wednesday morning, and Jim remains bullish on the off-price retailer behind T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods. He said management has historically issued conservative guidance and then delivered results near or above the high end of its outlook. Jim is particularly optimistic about HomeGoods, which he expects to remain a key growth driver. He also thinks TJX’s value-focused model could help the company continue taking market share as consumers remain selective with their spending. TJX has seen lots of ups and downs in 2026. The stock saw a record high close in June before backing off. Year to date, shares are relatively flat. 3. Meta shares fell 2.5% on Tuesday as opening arguments began in a California trial alleging that the company’s Facebook and Instagram platforms fostered addictive behavior in teens and children. Earlier this month, Meta lost a case in New Mexico, forcing the social media giant to change some of its services and pay almost $1 billion. Jim warned that litigation could remain an overhang on the Club stock. “They’re going to lose every trial,” Jim said. He thinks the case may eventually reach the Supreme Court, where broader legal protections for social media companies could be tested. Jim cautioned that the current case is unlikely to settle the issue for Meta. “It’s a very hot-button thing, and it won’t be the last decision.” 4.
