The short answer is no and a number of LIV players are potentially facing career limbo.
LIV golfers are automatically banned for a year by the PGA Tour. It took the returning player programme, a special arrangement offered to a select few, to make it possible for Koepka to go back to the US circuit earlier this year.
Rahm, DeChambeau and Cameron Smith rejected that deal to stay on at LIV.
The PGA Tour have shown no enthusiasm for reinstating that arrangement but will, no doubt, be monitoring developments over coming weeks.
The DP World Tour offers a pathway because the leading 10 players on the European circuit currently gain access to PGA Tour membership.
This is the route being taken by Reed, who left LIV ahead of its 2026 season. So in the short term, it could be a boon for the European-based circuit to have the likes of Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton competing regularly next year.
Potential complications lie in the details of how the PGA Tour will structure its two-tier format from 2028. How many leading DP World Tour players from the 2027 season will be eligible for the upper-tier Championship series of tournaments?
The European tour also has to decide how to treat LIV players next season. In 2026 they struck a deal which allowed certain players, including Rahm and Hatton, to play LIV events without sanction.
That deal is thought unlikely to be offered next year.
