September rainfall so far has been very mixed across the UK.
In parts of north-west Scotland, there has already been 146% of expected September rainfall. At Achnagart in Highland, it has rained for the past 27 days.
In contrast, it has been very dry in parts of eastern England, with Bridlington in East Yorkshire seeing just 11% of expected September rainfall.
Low pressure systems will bring some rain over the next week or so. However, the bulk of the rain will fall in Scotland, Northern Ireland and western parts of England and Wales, with no significant or useful forecast further south and east.
