2026 NHL Stanley Cup Odds: Colorado Avalanche, Tampa Bay Lightning Top Board

The Florida Panthers won the Stanley Cup in back-to-back years, hoisting the trophy in both 2024 and 2025.

A team has not three-peated the Stanley Cup since the Islanders won four straight from 1980-1983.

But with the Panthers officially out of playoff contention and a three-peat off the table, a new team will be named champion at the end of the postseason once playoffs begin on April 18.

Which team will it be?

Let’s take a look at the 2026 Stanley Cup odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of April 6.

The Favorites: The Avalanche became the first team of the 2026 season to clinch their playoff spot after defeating the Blackhawks on March 20. And center Nathan MacKinnon has been a huge part of the team’s success this season. He leads Colorado in points (122), with 51 goals and 71 assists. Before the season, the Avalanche were +900 to hoist the Stanley Cup. Now they’re sitting at the top of the Western Conference standings and at the top of this oddsboard. Not too far behind them are the Lightning at +450. Like Colorado, Tampa Bay’s odds have shortened since the beginning of the season, moving from +850. The Lightning are currently second in the Eastern Conference standings, right behind Carolina. Right wing Nikita Kucherov leads his team in points (125), with 42 goals and 83 assists.

Ones to Watch: Before the season started, the Sabres were longshots at +10000 to win the Stanley Cup. Now Buffalo has the third-best record in the East and the seventh-best odds to be the last team standing. While the Sabres have clinched a playoff berth, they’ve lost five of their last seven, including a two-game losing streak since the beginning of April.
