The Voice UK: Alesha Dixon and Stacey Solomon joing show as ITV confirms revamp

On Wednesday, Sir Tom, 86, said in a statement he had been offered a “much-reduced role” on the series, which he was “not thrilled about”.

“The reason given is because of a financial difficulty with insurance,” he added. “They now say in the press they wanted to ‘refresh’ the show, and with a new coaching line-up there wouldn’t be a chair for me.”

He concluded: “The only thing I know right now is that there’s never a good time to fire an 86-year-old who’s still pretty good at his job.”

Cheryl launched her career with pop group Girls Aloud and later had several chart hits as a solo artist. She has recorded several songs with Will.I.Am.

She also served as a judge on ITV’s The X Factor when the singing competition was at the peak of its popularity in the late 2000s.

Aitch is a Manchester-born rapper whose hits include Rain, Baby, War and Taste (Make It Shake).

Dixon shot to fame as a member of girl group Mis-Teeq and has served as judge on Strictly Come Dancing and Britain’s Got Talent.

She has previously hosted The Greatest Dancer and the Eurovision Song Contest when it was hosted by the UK in Liverpool in 2023.

Solomon came second on The X Factor in 2009, and is now known for hosting Sort Your Life Out and appearing on reality show Stacey & Joe with her husband Joe Swash.
