The big iOS 18 update coming in the next few months will be really important for iPhone users in India. Yes, Apple is finally going to support its AI features in the English India version, which means more localised responses and AI tools available to millions of iPhone users in the country.
The iOS 18.3 update finally rolled out last week, and now the excitement has shifted towards the iOS 18.4 version that is likely to be released in April.
Apple iOS 18.4 Update In April: What To Expect
The company has already talked about its plans with Apple Intelligence features expanding to more countries this year. The note said, Apple Intelligence will expand to more platforms and languages, like Chinese, English (India), English (Singapore), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese in 2025.
And it is almost time for the iOS 18.4 update to bring these AI features to more regions. That’s not to say the Apple AI features have so far skipped the country. In fact, you could try out the AI tools by changing the language settings on your iPhone to US English. But soon, that won’t be necessary.
The company showed us a teaser of its upcoming AI features at the Glow time event in September last. But most of these features have been in beta and we have seen very few of them roll out for the public. With that in mind, the iOS 18.4 update is big for Apple and its ambitions to become a force in the rampaging AI battle.
Apple has been doing really well with the iPhone sales in India over the last few years. And the prospect of getting the India-friendly AI features will surely appeal to more people, who might have bided their time to upgrade to the iPhone 15 Pro or higher models available in the market.
