Beats has added its new premium audio product to its lineup in India which goes up against the AirPods Pro 2 model.

Beats, the Apple-owned audio manufacturer, has finally expanded the lineup of its TWS earphones with the launch of its new Powerbeats Pro 2 in India. The newly launched earphones come equipped with active noise cancellation (ANC) including transparency modes as well as significant features like personalised spatial audio with dynamic head tracking and voice Isolation support.

The Powerbeats Pro 2 earphones include dual-element dynamic diaphragm transducers, which are claimed to produce high-quality sound. They support adaptive ANC with a transparency mode and adaptive EQ characteristics and also come with spatial audio support as well as dynamic head-tracking technologies.
It is equipped with three mics on each earphone including a dedicated voice microphone. Also, both earphones comprise optical sensors for in-ear detection as well as an accelerometer and gyroscope.
One of the most significant features of the newly launched device includes a Heart Rate Monitor which is said to help the athletes to monitor their performance in real-time. As per Gadgets360, citing the company, the device measures blood flow using LED optical sensors that pulse over 100 times per second, and the data is then instantly shared with any compatible fitness app.
In India, the device will be launched with compatibility with fitness apps like Runna, Nike Run Club, Open, Ladder, Slopes and YaoYao.
Furthermore, the Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 comes with both Apple and Android connectivity with Bluetooth v5.3. One-touch pairing, automatic switching, Audio Sharing, hands-free Siri and Find My are all supported on Apple devices. Meanwhile, Android users have access to these functionalities via the Beats App.
Also, users can control music with the on-ear buttons and a tactile volume rocker on the earbuds and get hands-free Siri access by saying ‘Hey Sir’ or ‘Siri’.
As for the battery, the device is claimed to provide up to 10 hours of playback time and a total of 45 hours with the charging case. But a five-minute charge is said to provide up to 90 minutes of playback time. The case supports Qi wireless charging, includes a USB Type-C port and is claimed to be 33 percent smaller than its predecessor.
