One of the biggest problems for smartphone users is the battery draining quickly. However, a weak battery is not always the culprit. Countless apps, often used for fitness tracking, social media, or dating, consume significant power. According to a list compiled by Swedish online newspaper Nyheder24, Fitbit and Uber are among such battery-draining apps.
According to the report, Fitbit is the most power-intensive, followed by Uber and similar apps. Surprisingly, these apps can drain your battery even when not actively in use.
Top 10 Battery-Consuming Apps:
- Fitbit
- Uber
- Skype
- Airbnb
- Tinder
- Bumble
- Snapchat
How To Manage Battery
To save your battery, you can manually close these apps or optimise their power consumption. This is particularly easy on Android devices:
- Open Settings on your Android phone.
- Tap Battery from the menu.
- Go to Advanced settings and select Optimise battery use.
- Tap ‘Don’t optimise’ to select the apps you want to disable background activity for.
This will help reduce their power drain. However, remember that disabling background activity may prevent real-time notifications from these apps.
